FAQs

We’re a licensed, non-profit childcare and family centre run by a board of parent volunteers. We’ve cared for South Edmonton families for over 40 years, and many of our staff have been with us for more than 10 years. Every dollar goes back into caring for your child. Our qualified and experienced early childhood educators lead play-based programs designed around each child’s interests.

What makes LCCFC different?

What ages do you care for, and what are your hours?

2

We provide full-day care for children 13 months to 5 years at both locations, and out-of-school care for school-age children at Lansdowne. We’re open Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are closed weekends and statutory holidays.

Do you have spaces available, and how do I enroll?

3

Our new Lendrum location has spaces available now! Our Lansdowne location has a waitlist. To get started, book a tour at either centre by calling 780-437-5654, emailing ed@lansdownecc.ca, or fill out our inquiry form here.

Our rooms are led by qualified early childhood educators, nearly all certified at Level 3, Alberta’s highest certification level. Many of our educators have been with us for years, so children build lasting relationships with familiar, caring adults, who love to see them grow and change. We follow Alberta’s licensing standards for staff-to-child ratios in every room.

We have two daycares in South Edmonton. Our Lansdowne centre is at 12323 51 Ave NW, in the Lansdowne neighbourhood, adjacent to Lansdowne School. Our newer Lendrum centre is at 11426-60 Ave NW in Lendrum Place, a few minutes from the University of Alberta’s South Campus and Southgate Centre. It’s convenient for families in Lendrum Place, Pleasantview, Malmo Plains and nearby neighbourhoods, as well as U of A staff, postdocs and students.

How much does child care cost?
